It’s Time to Make an Effort and a Change

Aligning activities and travel in accordance with environmental considerations can strengthen a company's image and at the same time avoid potential risks.

For many years the cruise industry is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, keeping the oceans and rivers healthy, and supporting local communities through responsible tourism.

We cooperate with shipping companies that comply with our goal of

  • Reducing carbon emissions in order to limit the impact on the environment.
  • Using onshore power whenever possible which means that auxiliary diesel engines used to generate electricity can remain switched off while the vessels are in port.
  • Respecting special protection zones, know as Emission Control Areas (ECA's) where stringent emission standards apply for ships.
  • Taking care of strict ballast water management and fresh water management.
  • Avoiding waste and food waste.
  • Sorting waste on board, carefully handling hazardous materials and strict instructions that nothing may be thrown into the sea.

We recommend companies for climate protection certificates to make your event sustainable and save.
